Personal Information

I was born Bradley William Cheetham in Cortland NY on April 20th 1987 to William Charles Cheetham and Betsy Jean Cheetham.

I grew up in Cortland going to the Alton B. Parker Elementary School and the Cortland Junior/Senior High School.   In high school I played both varsity tennis for Coach Bob Walrath and varsity soccer for Coach Dan Law.  Both sports contributed greatly to my development as a leader and as a person.

Following high school I attended the University of Buffalo (part of the State University of New York).  While at UB I worked in the University Apartments and it was at UB that I discovered my passion for space exploration and worked with Frank Centinello to start a chapter of Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS) at UB.  I participated in many activities as part of the University Honors College, traveled to France to study for a summer, attended multiple conferences, and worked on many projects (listed elsewhere).  Notably in April 2007 I attended a conference at Boston University where I met and spoke with Dr. Harrison "Jack" Schmitt (Apollo 17 Astronaut and US Senator), a meeting that changed my life and inspired me to persue my passion for space exploration as a career.

I appreciate good food, good wine, good beer, and good friends and wear a band on my wrist that reminds me to always "Eat, Drink, and Be Merry"
